I Am Learning To Sequence & Group Similar Ideas
WALT to sequence and group similar ideas. It’s tricky trying to remember how it all happened and getting it in the right order. I feel like I need more practice.

Te Tuhi Colour Wheels
We went to Te Tuhi and we learnt about the colour wheel. We learned that the primary colours are blue, red and yellow. We learnt that secondary colours are green, orange and purple. We learnt about tertiary colours too! We painted lime green, red orange and red purple too. Some of us thought it was tricky and some of us thought it was easy. When we made our colour wheel lady bugs the curvy cutting was really tricky.

I Am Learning To Use The Word Folder
I like using the word folder. It helps me to find words about places. I have circled the words in my weekend story that I found in the word folder. I am still getting used to what words I can find in the word folder.

I Am Learning To Draw A Cat
On the tail I did a pattern with straight lines. On the body I did swirly patterns and pointy zig zag patterns. My favourite part is the blue swirly part. It was easy and fun.

I Am Learning About Fractions
I know how to show half of the group. I know how to show half of a rectangle and I know that the line has to be in the middle. I got the fraction symbol for half and quarter confused. I am not sure how to show quarter of a rectangle. I think fractions are easy.

I Am Learning My Forwards & Backwards Number Sequences
I showed my teacher that I know my numbers before and after between 1 and 20.
I Am Learning To Retell The Story In Sequence
I read a book called Oh, No! I drew a picture from the beginning of the book, then I wrote a sentence. Then I drew a picture from the middle of the book and I wrote a sentence for that picture. After that I drew a picture from the story ending and I wrote my last sentence. I always draw the picture first because it helps me with my writing. It makes it easier and faster!

I Am Learning To Speak To An Audience
On Fridays we have Show & Tell and I can bring something from home to share with our class. When we are speaking our focus is using a loud, clear voice and looking at our audience. I showed our class my treasure map. I liked sharing news. Next time I will try to make my voice loud and clear.
I Am Learning To Use Capital Letters And Full Stops
Our learning intention:
We are learning to use capital letters and full stops in the right places.
Our success criteria: Our sentences start with a capital letter - We have used a capital letter for the word ‘I’ - We have used a capital letter for names - We have used full stops at the end of our sentences.
My reflection: I used a full stop at the end of my sentence. I used a capital for the word I and the start of my sentences. I find it tricky to remember capital letters.

I Am Learning To Draw Myself
First, I sketched myself in my art book, making sure I included all of my features. Then Mrs Millar enlarged my drawing to A3 on the photocopier and I outlined it using a black vivid marker. I coloured my portrait in using pastels. It was tricky to choose the right colours for my hair and eyes!
Welcome to Room 11!
This is me in Room 11. On our Hive of Learning wall display I am a bee. We talked about learning and I said: “I love reading new books because they are exciting!”
